Terms and Conditions regarding class bookings, reservations and cancellations
Please note that all classes must be pre booked using our booking system.
Studio Terms and Conditions
• Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your class start time. Arriving at the start time is considered late.
Locked Door Policy for late arrivals
Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your class starting to avoid delays.
Students are not permitted to join in the class if they have missed any part of the group warm up. It is important that you are part of a lead warm up relevant to the class you have booked to reduce your risk of injury.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances do happen, if this is the case and you know you will be late, please do not turn up expecting to join your class. We are strict with our rules and this will only cause further disruptions. Instead please contact us so we can look into an alternative for you.
• If you can no longer attend your class please unregister from the class as soon as possible using the booking system. This will automatically notify your instructor and open a space for someone else.
• You are not permitted to ‘spot’ or “teach” other students whilst attending classes at MVPA. This is for your own safety. Spotting techniques can be complicated and do require a certain amount of strength, as well as differing from move to move. If another students asks for help or for you to show them something, please point them to a teacher or assistant.
• Mill View Pole Academy (MVPA) reserves the right to alter the timetable or teacher due to circumstances beyond our control.
• You must have filled out a waiver before taking part in any class/event or workshop. You must inform MVPA of any changes to your medical condition at each class. If it’s your first class, please let us know about any injuries or conditions that may be relevant to training, no matter hold old they may be.
• All classes, courses and private classes must be paid at time of booking. Payments made for courses, workshops and private classes are non-refundable or transferable.
• People believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave classes immediately.
• Please do not apply lotions, moisturisers or creams on the day of the class. Not only will it make you slippy, increasing the risk of injury but it also leaves the poles slippery for others, increasing their risk of injury too. If you require moisturiser for any skin conditions please speak to your instructor about what is “aerial friendly”.
• We kindly ask that all metal jewellery is removed from hands and feet before the start of your class. Our equipment is very expensive and risks damage to our equipment but also to your jewellery with risks of personal injury.
• You are the best judge of your own health. If you have any sickness or injuries which may put you or others at risk during the class, please inform your instructor.
• You must tell your instructor if you injure yourself during class no matter now minor you think it may be.
• The mats are provided for your safety, please feel free to use them at your leisure and where you feel necessary.
• Please do not show or help other students in to or out of moves. Our insurance only covers appointed persons to teach. Therefore if someone is trying a move they have not been shown by an appointed person, MVPA will not be liable for any compensation.
Every individual is taught moves based on their previous experience, flexibility and strength. Aerial fitness instruction involves breaking down many parts of a move. If you were to show someone a new move and miss out a piece of vital information, this could result in a fellow student being injured . Therefore we request you DO NOT teach other students new moves during the class. Only appointed persons are permitted to teach.
Booking Terms
All group classes require a minimum number of 2 students to be booked onto a class by 6pm the evening before. If numbers are met , bookings will remain open up until the class start time.
In the event that minimum numbers are not met by 6pm the evening before, payments will be refunded accordingly. You can book another class or contact us to schedule a private class in its place.
If you have a membership with us you can create a reoccurring reservation for your chosen class each week. In the event you cannot make a class, please unregister with as much notice as possible to allow another student to attend.
Booking your classes
We have an online booking and payment system online via the book a class tab with Go TeamUp.
All classes must be booked in advance.
Cancellations
The studio has a strict policy on cancellations. Whilst unforeseen circumstances do occur, it’s good to remember that class payments are what maintain the studio rent, bills, and your instructors and their living. All our classes are structured and planned ahead to deliver the best aerial experience.
Please read the following carefully ensuring you are aware of the studios policies regarding cancellations of classes.
Class cancellations
A “late” cancellation is any class cancelled within 1 day (24 hrs) of the class start time that you have booked. This means there will be no refunds for any cancellations made within this time.
Penalty System: Recurring late cancellations
After 3 late cancels or no shows within 30 days you will be subject to a charge of £10
Private classes, courses, special events and workshops are non refundable or transferable once booked.
Bank holidays and Instructor Annual Leave
All membership prices on offer take into consideration the total of a 2 week closure period which can be implemented at any time , but this will usually be for Christmas. We are also be closed for bank holidays. You can request private classes on bank holidays if the instructor is available.
For more information, please contact the studio info@millviewpoleacademy.co.uk
Hot & Cold weather conditions
• For health and safety reasons please note that Mill View Pole Academy will not open when the inside temperature on the studio thermometer is over 26° and there are more than 4 students (or one person per equipment) and this is at the instructors discretion to do what’s safe . It is unsafe to train when it’s incredibly hot inside. The use of aerial equipment when hot and slippery is dangerous. We will do our best to cool the studio as much as we can.
In the event that a class is cancelled due to hot weather conditions (similarly to cold / snow weather conditions) ; all students will be informed with as much notice as possible via our whatsapp channel and social media. Students booked onto a class will also receive an email.
All students will be refunded or have their credit returned to their account if the studio has to cancel a class. Refunds will not be issued if the class is running. In the events of adverse weather conditions classes will still run if the instructor can make it to the studio.
NB: Please note that all credits issued back will need to be used within your membership allocation.
Thank you
